Picture 01: Golden star shapes on blue polyester fabric. It was rather easy to print on this fabric and I could use the same stamp several times before dipping it in the paint again.
Picture 02: Star shapes on yellow cotton fabric, and star-like shapes on sheer metallic fabric that were accidentally printed through the thin cotton.
Picture 03: Here I have printed on the left side of sequined fabric, making print marks also on a fabric underneath it.

Module 1 Chapter 2: Making and decorating coloured papers. Star shapes from coloured papers.
Picture 01: Coloured paper samples and paint marks.
My chosen colour scheme in this Module is blue, orange, purple, yellow and golden shades and tones. I have also added a bit of red when printing on coloured papers to make the design more vivid and live.

Picture 03: Purple double-cross shapes on handmade paper. Fantastic textured paper to print on!

Pillow story
Have been working on a set of a rather whimsical pillow slips/ cushion covers, inspired by nature and natural forms, as well as by abstract lines and circles and human world. It seems like a "Neverending Story" to me now, always more elements to add, more threads and a tiny pieces of fabric to combine. I believe that things can always have a second, third, fourth life, as many as you wish, therefore most of the fabric I've stitched together in this project is second-hand used or unused fabric.

Module 1 Chapter 7: Translating the Layered Designs Into Embroidery
Stitched embroidery sample of three layers on top of the base fabric. Running stitch and machine stitching. I have combined the layered paper sample with stitched sample here and also in following pictures to show the development of the designs.
Background fabric and three layers of fabric. I have used mostly running stitch in this sample, as well as machine stitch.
Three layers on top of background fabric, blue shades mostly. The paper sample was more of an inspiration here, and the stitched sample is a rather simplified design, a combination of two crosses.
Four layers of fabric on top of a background. I have combined several layers of different mesh fabric in this stitched sample, as well as sequined fabric as a base. Running stitch, zig-zag and machine stitch.

Module 1 Chapter 6: Use of Bonding in Applique
I had never used a transfer adhesive method before, it was all new and I definitely want to experiment more. I made a couple of samples, inspired by the composite papers and coloured paper examples that I had made before. It was also interesting to observe the impact of using the bonding technique on different fabrics.

Module One Chapter 2: Coloured papers
A couple of my favorite printed coloured papers that I made few weeks ago. I prepared 4 rubber stamps altogether and tried watercolour and cartridge papers, tissues and newspapers. Probably could have done better, but I really enjoyed the printing process and I'm happy about the result.
