Module 1 Chapter 7: Translating the Layered Designs Into Embroidery

Stitched embroidery sample of three layers on top of the base fabric. Running stitch and machine stitching. I have combined the layered paper sample with stitched sample here and also in following pictures to show the development of the designs. 

 Background fabric and three layers of fabric. I have used mostly running stitch in this sample, as well as machine stitch. 

Three layers on top of background fabric, blue shades mostly. The paper sample was more of an inspiration here, and the stitched sample is a rather simplified design, a combination of two crosses. 

 Four layers of fabric on top of a background. I have combined several layers of different mesh fabric in this stitched sample, as well as sequined fabric as a base. Running stitch, zig-zag and machine stitch.

 Three layers on the base fabric, combining running stitch, machine zig-zag and cross-stitch.
